“One’s sister is part of one’s essential self, an eternal presence of one’s heart, soul and memory.” ~ Unknown
Everyday I am proud to say that I am a big sister and a great big sister at that.
Last week Thursday was the last day of school for my baby sister. And with me knowing that, I knew once I got home she would have something for me.
I couldn’t wait to get home once I got off work. As soon I walked through the door, I was greeted with the biggest smile and all the arts and crafts from the school year, especially her daily journal. Her daily journal is what really warmed my heart that evening.
She had stories about school, how she sees life and drawings of her favorite TV characters and our family. It was amazing to see how she captured the world through her eyes and layed it out on paper.
All I could was smile and rejoice because my baby sister has come a long way and is making her presence known. I love her dearly for that.
So I share this beautiful drawing (Spongebob Squarepants) with you that makes me proud to be her big sister.
