This past Sunday, I participated in my first Vision Walk which took place in Alexandria, Va at Cameron Run Regional Park. For this being my first event to participate in a cause that is built around fighting blindness. I was overly excited because there are people out there who are fighting to find cures for rare eye diseases which is great!. I walked with about 400+ people of all ages. I was in amazement to older woman taking the time to walk for this cause. And it really touched my heart that a benefit to help the human race sees no age and no boundaries. My team was small this year. But it was good enough for me. Hopefully next year, I will raise some money and form a bigger team. So look out for my team at the next annual Vision Walk.
