See With Sound Progress Report

Listen To The Nothing

So the See With Sound project is a project aimed at helping the visually impaired improve their audio sensory perceptions allowing them to gain a better understanding of the world around them. It is now slowly coming together. Some preliminary feed back suggests that this is an idea worth sticking by and so mass e-mails to large organisations/institutions and individuals have been sent out asking for their opinions and feedback, but most importantly their support and assistance, in making this project a reality. It is so simple yet innovative and effective and could really make such a difference to the lives of so many people. Any support will be massively appreciated and the new Facebook page will be the main hub of activity for this for now.
Thanks all.

  1. Thank you very much for re-blogging this. It means so much to receive support this early in the project’s development. I have also started a Facebook page called ‘See With Sound’ and it is gaining interest fast with over 80 likes in the first 24 hours.
I really believe in this project and would like to say thank you again for your support. I have just read through you blog and I find it very touching. The fact that you have a visual impairment and you have shown support just gives me even more confidence that this is a good, simple idea that could make a difference to thousands.
    Take care.

    1. Hello Jon,

And you are very welcome. I am always a supporter of anyone who is trying to make a difference in people’s lives. I support the idea of your project. I am currently in school working on a way to make lightweight equipment for people with visual impairments.

We have so much technology and equipment available to implement these ideas that we come up with. But the problem is that people in the mainstream world do not think about the need of those with disabilities.

I look forward to hearing more about your project & will support it in any way I can.

      Have a nice evening
