Supporting your child that has a disability is going to be your primary concern, however have you had the chance to take a step back and see if you too, need support?  This can be a question you don’t want to ask yourself as it could leave you feeling slightly defeated however, it’s perfectly normal to ask for help. There are many different supporting programmes that can help; whether it being financial support, counselling or activities that the whole family can complete together.

There are aspects that parents may not be aware of when it comes to the financial help that can be received such as all three and four year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free education for 38 weeks of the year as well as having charities raising money and awareness for families, alongside grants from organizations such as Family Fund.
